Police identified the woman killed Saturday in a one-car accident on Interstate 680 as Doretha Redd, 37, of Warren.

Lt. William Ross of the department’s traffic unit said investigators still are not sure what caused the SUV Redd was driving to veer off the road and strike a concrete median strip.

Redd was traveling south on the interstate, and the accident occurred just past the South Avenue exit about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

Ross said he is awaiting the coroner’s report and other tests before he can determine what may have caused Redd to crash.
