Register for Salvation Army help Wednesdays, Fridays this month

The Salvation Army of Mahoning County invites county residents to apply for four services at its “Christmas in July” registration at 1501 Glenwood Ave. on Wednesdays and Fridays in July.

Registration opportunities are from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 24.

The first 450 children registered will be eligible for a backpack with school supplies for children in grades K-8, a new winter coat for children between 3 and 18, Christmas toys for kids up to 12, and a food voucher for the family.

The next 450 registered children within the same age limits will be eligible for coats, toys and family food vouchers. Children registered after the first 900 will be eligible for toys and family food vouchers; and individual applicants and families with members above the listed ages may register for food vouchers.
