Post-rehab interview with Lohan on OWN

LOS ANGELES

Oprah Winfrey has scored another high-profile coup for OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network: Lindsay Lohan.

The troubled star, who is serving her latest rehab stint, will be interviewed by Winfrey in August after her release. Lohan also has been signed for an eight-part documentary series that will air in 2014.

The deal with Lohan, which is sure to generate large ratings for OWN, is the latest in a series of prominent interview “gets” for Winfrey. The former talk-show mogul has scored exclusive interviews with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong and the family of deceased singer Whitney Houston.

Lohan is near the end of a 90-day court-mandated stay at the Betty Ford Center for a reckless-driving conviction. Her once-promising career has been eclipsed by a stream of erratic and outrageous shenanigans off screen that have made her a favorite of the tabloids.
