National Night Out will be in park

AUSTINTOWN

Wickliffe Block Watch, Austintown Township Trustees and Austintown Police Department will participate in The National Night Out from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at Austintown Township Park, Kirk Road.

The National Night Out is a nationwide event by block watches, town watches and police departments, encouraging residents to get to know their neighbors and neighborhoods.

There will be displays by area police, fire and ambulances, and a demonstration by the APD police dog. Senator Joe Schiavoni will attend.

There will be a castle for the kids, music, an antique car display, face painting, clowns and free hot dogs.

The event is free and open to all Austintown residents and businesses.
