Garage, rummage sale today to help Alex Sudol

“It Takes a Village — Team Alex” has organized a community garage and rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m today at Woodland Park United Methodist Church, 601 Ohio Ave.

Proceeds will benefit Alex Sudol, an 18-year-old McDonald resident recently diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma.

Alex is the daughter of village Councilman Pete Sudol, who died of cancer in 2012. The recent high school grad is also a single mother to a 1-year-old.
