St. Christine School had its annual field day May 31.
Students in grades kindergarten through eighth participated in the fun day, which included a variety of games, such as Minute-to-Win-It for students in grades fourth through eighth. Students also enjoyed a blow up obstacle course and slide, snowcones and a disc jockey.
Children wore different-colored shirts to signify their grade.
Funding for the event comes from the Home and School Association.
“The Home and School Association does fundraising all year and we spent the money on the kids,” said Jennifer Keffler, chair of the event.
Cynthia Ricci, fourth-grade teacher, said field day is for the kids.
“Field day is an end-of-the year celebration to reward the children for another successful year,” said Ricci.
Keffler echoed her sentiments.
“It’s to celebrate the end of the year, a day of fun for the kids,” said Keffler.
