POWER OUTAGES

Thousands of homes and businesses in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties lost power because of the storms blowing through the area Wednesday morning and late afternoon. Trumbull County: 2,300 lost power in the morning and 2,100 in the afternoon. As of 10 p.m., 1,700 were still without power, including 650 in Warren, 250 in Warren Township and 280 in Champion Township.

Mahoning County: 800 lost power in the afternoon; as of 10 p.m., 170 remained without power.

Columbiana County: 1,000 lost power during the afternoon; as of 10 p.m., 150 still did not have power.
