Mathews district gets state funds for new building

VIENNA

The Ohio School Facilities Commission today approved $5.6 million in state funding for school construction in the Mathews Local School District.

The funding, combined with $24 million from the district, will allow Mathews to move forward with construction of a kindergarten through 12th grade school.

Mathews is one of 19 districts to receive the offer of state money from the OSFC.

The district must raise the local share within 13 months for the state funding to be released.
