YSU gets grant for anesthetist training

YOUNGSTOWN

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-13th, late Monday announced that Youngstown State University has been awarded a federal grant of $22,526 for a Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship Program.

The grant was awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

“This grant will help Youngstown State further students’ opportunities to get hands-on experience in the health-care industry. It is important that young people in our community have the best possible education and training,

especially when it comes to those we entrust to care for our health,” Ryan said.
