VBS children need crutches for project

Vacation Bible School children at Disciples Christian Church are trying to help the people of Haiti.

They are collecting crutches and canes to paint and decorate to help some of the thousands who lost limbs during the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. Haiti is still in need.

Until July 19, items will be collected at Disciples Christian Church on Route 224 in Boardman during office hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday mornings 8:30 to 11. Or call 330-974-8907 for pickup.

Used or new crutches or canes are needed. If you do not have these items but would like to help, donations can be sent to: Disciples Christian Church c/o Elizabeth John 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, OH 44512.
