Charges not expected in mishap that killed 2-year-old

Police are unlikely to file charges against the driver who backed into a 2-year-old boy on Euclid Avenue Monday.

The boy died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The driver was backing up in the driveway, and it seems the toddler ran behind the moving vehicle, police said.

“It was just a horrible accident,” said Detective Jeff Lewis of Struthers Police Department. “We don’t expect any charges to be filed.”
