Feds grant $22,526 to YSU for traineeship program

YOUNGSTOWN

US Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-13th, late Monday announced that Youngstown State University has been awarded a federal grant of $22,526 for a nurse anesthetist traineeship program. The grant was awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration of the US Department of Health and Human Services.

“This grant will help Youngstown State further students’ opportunities to get hands-on experience in the healthcare industry. It is important that young people in our community have the best possible education and training, especially when it comes to those we entrust to care for our health,” Ryan said.
