A Boardman woman has pleaded guilty as charged to grand theft after the prosecutor said she stole about $100,000 between October 2009 and December 2012 from the Sunset Knoll Condo Association, while serving as its bookkeeper.

Elizabeth A. Gorski, 48, of Maramount Drive, entered her plea Monday before Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, who will sentence her at a later date.

The first $25,000 of the theft was covered by insurance; and Michael McBride, an assistant county prosecutor, said he’ll recommend probation for Gorski if she makes $37,500 in restitution before sentencing, with Gorski paying an additional $37,500 in installments after sentencing.

Gorski, who has no prior criminal record, stole money from fees paid by condominium owners for maintenance of the Boardman condominium complex, McBride said.

With the agreement of the prosecution and defense, Judge D’Apolito ordered the State Employees Retirement System to provide information concerning the value of Gorski’s retirement account to help ascertain what funds might be available for restitution.

Gorski resigned in February after about 24 years with the Boardman schools, where she was a clerk in the board of education office who catalogued school library materials, said Richard Santilli, school district treasurer.
