Military motorcycle rodeo at Biketown
AUSTINTOWN
Red, White and Blue BBQ and Military Motorcycle Rodeo will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at Biketown Harley-Davidson, Interstate Boulevard, off state Route 46 near the Interstate 80 exit.
The event will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.
There will be vendors, raffles (including one for a U.S. flag flown over the White House), a dunk tank featuring the Heels and Wheels Girls, a military vehicle display and more.
Musical entertainment will be provided by The Michael Weber Show and Leanne Binder. Admission is free.
Theater to present ‘Sweet Charity’
New Castle, Pa.
“Sweet Charity,” directed by Michael Cavalier, will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave.
The musical explores the bittersweet and humorous story of Charity Hope Valentine, a dance hall hostess who falls in love too easily. The show presents Charity’s sweet and trusting personality as seen through the eyes of her co-workers.
The musical will run for nine performances over three consecutive weekends. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
A complimentary wine and cheese party for ticket holders will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, with members of the NCP Mini-Stars.
The playhouse will also celebrate with a New Castle Fireworks display on Saturday. “Sweet Charity” will start at 7 that night so guests can join the cast and crew in the parking lot to view the fireworks display.
