Chamber seeks data to update report

Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is sending a survey to more than 1,200 area businesses seeking data that will be used to update its starting wages and benefits report.
The survey will be distributed to businesses in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, either by regular mail or email. Surveys should be returned by Aug. 16.
If a business has more than 10 employees and wants to participate, it can download a copy of the survey from the economic development area of the chamber’s website, www.regionalchamber.com/wagesurvey.

Farmers’ market open

The Downtown Sharon Farmers’ Market is open and will be selling home-grown produce every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon, unless sold out earlier.
Growers will have a variety of vegetables, fruits, bedding and potted plants available throughout the summer and autumn seasons.

Number of airport passengers increase

The passenger count at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport was 7,794 in May, which was a 23 percent increase compared with the previous year.
The year-to-date passenger count is 7 percent higher than 2012, said Dan Dickten, the airport’s director of aviation.
