Warren man shot by robber when arriving home

WARREN

Police found a man shot in the leg in a driveway at a 162 Idylwild Ave. NE home about 4:40 a.m. Thursday.

Michael Sallaz, 51, told police he had just arrived at the home from another address, and a man wanted money from him. When he told the man he only had $2, Sallaz was pushed to the ground and shot in the leg, reports said.

Officers recovered a spent bullet. Sallaz was taken to ValleyCare

Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.
