Shooting at Dollar General on Market

YOUNGSTOWN

Police are investigating a suspected shootout that took place on the city’s South Side this afternoon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. at Dollar General on Market Street. No one was injured but a car was hit by the gunfire.

No weapons have been recovered, but several shell casings were discovered at the scene. The shooting is under investigation.

Police said a report should be available this evening.
