2 hospitalized after Friday crash

NEW BEAVER, PA.

Two people were hospitalized after a two-car crash Friday afternoon in this Lawrence County borough.

The accident happened at about 3 p.m. when Megan Urbanic, of Ellwood City drove a Honda Civic into the northbound lane and was struck by a Ford van driven by Howard Leith of Wellsville.

Urbanic sustained severe injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Leith suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Ellwood City Hospital.
