“The Princess Who Had No Name,SDRq written by Brian D. Taylor and directed by Marlene Menaldi Strollo, Victorian Players Theatre, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, auditions at 5 p.m. Sunday. This fractured fairy tale weaves all popular fairy tale characters into one story. Adult roles needed include three witches, a fairy godmother, three queens, papa bear and mama bear, king, three good fairies and an evil fairy. Children will be cast in fairy-tale character parts such as Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, Goldilocks, Cinderella and others. Rehearsals will be 3 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting July 8. 330-533-8789.

“The Matchmaker,SDRq by Thornton Wilder. Directed by Marlene Menaldi Strollo, Victorian Players Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, auditions at 7 p.m. Sunday. The show, which served as the basis for the musical “Hello Dolly!,” calls for nine men and seven women of various ages. The Matchmaker will be the opening of the 2013-14 theater season and run from Sept. 13 to 29. 330-533-8789.
