Loss in Vivo fire estimated at $55K

George Brown, Boardman Township fire chief, said damages from the electrical fire in the attic at Anthony Vivo’s home Monday afternoon total $55,000.

Vivo is Mahoning County’s clerk of courts.

Brown said $50,000 of that amount is structural, the other $5,000 is content damage. Most of it was caused by smoke and water, he noted.

The township was called to the 743 Nellbert Lane home at

12:15 p.m. Monday to find a fire in the attic.

Brown said firefighters were on the scene for 90 minutes and were assisted by the Western Reserve Joint Fire District.
