Police charged a Youngs-town man with aggravated menacing, carrying a concealed weapon and violating a Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center pickup order. He’s accused of charging a man with a handgun, threatening to kill him if he didn’t leave the Taco Bell on U.S. Route 224, just west of South Avenue early Sunday.
Michael J. Cole, 18, of Glenwood Avenue was seen with his back turned at Taco Bell by the victim. When Cole saw the victim he charged toward him with the gun, according to a report.
The victim observed Cole walk into the Walmart parking lot on Doral Drive. The victim then flagged down police and explained the incident.
Police discovered Cole in the parking lot with a handgun that was later determined to be a Daisy BB gun.

Domestic violence
YOUNGSTOWN
Police charged a South Side man with domestic violence after they say he slammed his wife to the ground several times Saturday.
The woman declined to press charges, but officers came to the Pointview Avenue home and arrested Brandon Miller, 26, and took him to the Mahoning County jail. Officers were called to the home about 6 p.m. Saturday for a call of a fight, and a witness said they saw a man pick a woman up several times, hold her over his head then throw her to the ground. A short time later, officers got a call from a nearby restaurant where the woman worked, and she told police not only was she slammed to the ground but her husband also slammed her head into the wall several times.
Search continues
girard
Officers from Weathersfield Township police and city police continue their search for a man who eluded them Sunday night.
The man, who police identified as Isaac Jones, started running from his home on East Main Street about 9 p.m. when officers from Weathersfield and Girard tried to arrest him on a warrant for receiving stolen property.
A Weathersfield officer fired a stun gun, but the darts did not fully penetrate the man’s clothing, and Jones continued running.
Both Jones and a police officer jumped onto a neighboring fence during the chase, which collapsed. Jones escaped, however. Warrants were issued for Jones on new charges of resisting arrest and criminal damaging.
