Arms Museum salutes veterans this weekend

YOUNGSTOWN — In honor of Independence Day, admission is free for members of the military and their families visiting the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s Arms Family Museum from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Admission for non-military families on those three days is half-price with donations of nonperishable food items or toiletries being collected for the veterans clinic in Youngstown.

Admission is regularly $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and college students, $2 for children, and free for those under the age of 3.

There will also be outdoor activities including games and crafts for kids, a “thank you” banner for attendees to personalize, a basket raffle, and food and beverages. The museum is located at 648 Wick Ave.
