Boardman police stepping up patrols on Super Bowl Sunday

BOARDMAN — Township police will supplement regular patrols with high-visibility enforcement during Super Bowl Sunday.

Officers will target all violators for aggressive driving offenses, distracted driving, seat-belt usage and operating a vehicle while impaired violations.

“While we want people to enjoy the big game, we want them to do it responsibly,” Chief Jack Nichols said. Police say designate a sober driver or call a taxi or friend for a ride home if they’ve been drinking.
