Second Chance Animal Rescue is sponsoring its 13th Annual Night at the Races on Saturday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with races beginning at 7.

In addition, attendees can participate in a basket auction, Maverick Poker, a 50-50 drawing and an instant lottery ticket raffle.

Admission is $5 at the door and includes a chance to win a door prize. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Second Chance was organized in January 2000 and cares for cats and kittens. It is an all-volunteer organization with 100 percent of all proceeds raised going directly to benefit the animals.

There are approximately 100 cats available for adoption. The fee of $95 includes spaying or neutering, first shots and other basic care. For information on adoption call 330-505-3575 or visit secondchanceanimalrescue.org.
