Columbiana dog license deadline is Jan. 31

Columbiana County Auditor Nancy Milliken reminds dogs owners that the deadline for dog-license renewal is Jan. 31.

All dogs at least 3 months old must be licensed immediately and renewed annually. The fees for licenses are $8 per dog, or $40 for a kennel. Licenses not purchased by Jan. 31 are subject to a penalty.

Owners can buy licenses through the mail at 105 S. Market St., with a postmark of Jan. 31 or earlier. A kennel license can be purchased only at the Columbiana County dog warden’s office, 8455 County Line Road.

Owners also can buy licenses at these outside vendor locations until the deadline:

Damascus: Damascus General Store; Columbiana and Middleton: Ace Hardware; East Liverpool: Carol’s Corner; Calcutta: Adrian’s Restaurant; East Palestine: Fullers Hardware; Hanoverton: Hanoverton Pro Hardware; Negley: Dickey’s True Value Hardware; Salem: Yard Bark; Salineville: Jenkins Feed & Supply; and Wellsville: Center Pharmacy.
