MINORITY BUSINESS ASSISTANCE CENTER
The Minority Business Assistant Center, which provides help to minority and socially and financially disadvantaged businesses, has reopened at the Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership, 1325 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. MBAC offers three basic levels of assistance:
Level 1: Operation JumpStart is a program for people starting a business for the first time and existing businesses that launched with little or no planning.
Level 2: Start-Up program for businesses, usually with one to two years in operation: Develop a plan of action aimed at growth, job retention and creation and pre-certification guidance.
Level 3: For emerging businesses, usually more than three years in operation and with sales of more than $100,000 annually.
Minority Business Assistance Center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays for walk-ins or by appointment, and evening appointments may be scheduled as needed. Call Chauncey Hilson at 330-747-7921, ext. 1150.
