Parents: The late Michael and Helen Puhala.

Siblings: Helen Martinko and Marge Harris and the late Anna, Maryann, Josephine and infant brother, Joey.

First wife: Josephine, whom he married in 1942, at St. Stanislaus Church, Youngstown, died in 1998.

Second wife: The former Agnes Mayor, whom he married in 2003 at St. Nicholas Church, Struthers.

Children: Michael J. Jr. of New Jersey and the late Mary Helen Gratz.

Grandchildren: Four and one deceased.

Great-grandchildren: One.

Stepchildren: Joseph (Nancy) Mayor, James (Renny) Mayor and Agnes (Edward) Moran.

Step-grandchildren: Five.

Education: St. Cyril Methodius School in Youngstown.

Employment: Automatic Sprinkler and General Motors.

Memberships: St. Nicholas Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of Infant Jesus of Prague.

Additional information: He grew up in “The Hollow,” moved to Boardman and then to Struthers. He enjoys going to Mountaineer. A party took place Jan. 12 at TJ’s at Holiday Inn, Boardman, with family and friends.
