CORYDON PALMER DENTAL SOCIETY | Programs

The dental society, celebrating its 100th anniversary, participates in programs focused on improving access to dental care in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Programs include:

Give Kids a Smile Day: Under the two-day program, Dental Society members, their staffs, families, plus students at Choffin Career Center, Youngstown State University and Dr. Jeffrey Caldwell’s Columbiana County dental office, offer basic dental screening and exams to underserved children.

Dental OPTIONS (Ohio Partnership To Improve Oral Health Through Access to Needed Services): The program, offered by the Ohio Department of Health in partnership with Ohio Dental Association volunteer dentists, assists Ohioans with special health care needs and/or financial barriers, primarily adults, to obtain dental care.

Access Health Mahoning Valley, a nonprofit organization that works to assure access to health care for low-income, uninsured residents of Mahoning and Trumbull counties. The dental component involves dentists who donate services and an $8,000 Ohio Dental Association Foundation grant; and donation of supplies by vendors.
