Man hospitalized after being shot in Warren

WARREN

Gabriel Lofton Jr., 24, of Merriweather Street Northwest was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngsown with a gunshot wound to the torso that he suffered at 12:05 a.m. Sunday at 1984 Hazelwood Avenue Southeast.

Police said they do not know how badly injured Lofton is because they have not talked to him yet.

They were advised that 30 to 40 people saw a disturbance with shots being fired, but police have learned little from witnesses so far, Det. Mike Currington said.
