ATLANTA, GA.

Cassandra Bridget Kendall of Cincinnati became the bride of Nicholas Anthony Szugye of Gainesville, Ga., during a ceremony Dec. 28 at Rock Spring Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.

Pastor Charles DeBardeleben officiated at the 3:30 p.m. wedding ceremony, and a reception followed at Parish Market and Foods, Atlanta.

Parents of the couple are Peter and Beth Kendall of Gainesville and Michael and Elizabeth Szugye of Hubbard.

After a wedding trip to Tennessee and Kentucky, the couple reside in Cincinnati.

The bride wore a custom-made 1950s-era ivory gown with lace bodice and three-fourth length sleeves and a multi-layered tulle ballet floor-length skirt.

Maid of honor was Amelia Hammond. Bridesmaids were Erin Waller and Katie Coakley. Melanie Szugye, the groom’s niece, was flower girl.

The attendants wore 1950s vintage blush- colored dresses.

Michael Szugye, brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man.

Groomsmen were Matthew Szugye, the groom’s brother, and Yannick Cohen. Ring bearer was Jason Szugye, the groom’s nephew.

Ushers were William and Noah Cooke and Will and Sam Kendall, the bride’s cousins.

The couple are graduates of Case Western Reserve University.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is a pediatric oncology nurse at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and is in his third year of graduate school at University of Cincinnati Medical School.
