The Area Agency on Aging 11, Inc. is closed due to a power outage at its corporate office in Niles. The

outage has rendered the telephone system inoperable.

The Agency has initiated its emergency protocol, which transfers all calls for level of care for nursing home admission

review only to the Area Agency on Aging 10A in Cleveland via fax at 216-621-5994 or phone at 216-479-6772. Any

consumer in AAA11’s service area of Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties who are experiencing an

emergency should call 9-1-1. Providers or consumers who are in need of assistance that cannot wait until Wednesday, please call 2-1-1. Any reports of abuse or problems with nursing homes should call 2-1-1. Anyone seeking

aging and disability resource information should also call 2-1-1.

The power outage for the Agency’s corporate offices, located in the Eastwood Mall, occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Tuesday. According to Eastwood Mall officials, the power was to be restored by early afternoon hours.

Emergency protocol for the Agency is to transfer calls if a power outage is unable to be restored within a timely manner.

The Agency plans on reopening Wednesday.
