Youngstown man injured while fleeing gunfire

A North Avenue man was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center on Sunday afternoon after injuring his shoulder while fleeing from a gunman.
The 39-year-old man told police he was in his vehicle at Himrod Avenue and North Lane about 2:20 p.m. when he saw a man that he knows following him. The victim pulled into a North driveway and the other man got out of his car and started shooting.
The victim fled, jumping over two fences to get to a relative’s home. He wasn’t struck by gunfire but did injure his shoulder when he fell jumping over one of the fences.
