Carrie Keenan of Howland and Matthew Wittenauer of Augusta, Ga., exchanged marriage vows Sept. 8 at First Presbyterian Church, Youngstown. The Rev. J. Nicholas Mager Jr. officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.

A reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s, Boardman.

Timothy and Patti Keenan of Hubbard are the parents of the bride. The groom is a son of Mariann Wittenauer of Hubbard and the late John Wittenauer.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple reside in Aurora, Ohio.

The bride wore a fitted trumpet-style ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline embellished with a lace bodice trimmed with iridescent sequins that was completed with a cathedral train. Her fingertip veil featured matching lace.

Ashley Democko was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Candace Younkins, Katie Heddaeus and Cassie Newmann. The attendants wore charcoal-gray colored gowns.

John Wittenauer, brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Jason Stiver, William Tucciarone and Todd Melone, the groom’s cousin.

The bride graduated from Kent State University and received a bachelor’s degree in education, magna cum laude, and a master’s degree in higher education administration. She is an enrollment management and student services adviser for Kent State Trumbull in Warren.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Ohio State University and graduated from Cleveland Clinic School of Cardiovascular Perfusion. He is a perfusionist at Cleveland Clinic.
