Oklahoma 67, West Virginia 57

Romero Osby and Steven Pledger scored in double figures for Oklahoma to negate an outstanding day by West Virginia freshman Terry Henderson as the Mountaineers lost their inaugural Big 12 Conference game. Osby had 21 points and nine rebounds and Pledger added 12 as the Sooners (10-3) beat the Mountaineers (7-6) for the second time this year. The two league opponents met in a nonconference game in a Thanksgiving tournament that did not count in the standings. Oklahoma closed the game on a 16-2 run that included two treys from Pledger. Henderson, who previously scored 23 points in a loss to Michigan, notched 21 points Saturday, including six 3-pointers, all in the first half. Two other Mountaineers finished in double figures — Jabarie Hinds (11) and Juwan Staten (10). West Virginia scored nine 3s in the first half, but knocked down only seven field goals after intermission.

Bryant 78, Saint Francis (Pa.) 58

LORETTA, PA.

Alex Francis scored 21 points and Dyami Starks had 18 to lead Bryant Saint Francis. Bryant did not have much trouble with the Red Flash, jumping out to a 22-8 lead when Francis scored on a layup with 6:36 left in the first half. The Bulldogs closed the first half with a 9-3 run to claim a 40-18 halftime advantage. St. Francis never posed a threat the rest of way, shooting 38 percent (21 of 55) from the floor for the game. Bryant shot 54 percent (27 of 50) in the victory. Frankie Dobbie scored 11 points and had four assists, but also had six turnovers for the Red Flash (9-4, 2-0 Northeast Conference). Joe O’Shea pitched in with 10 points and Francis had seven rebounds. Earl Brown recorded a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds for St. Francis (1-12, 1-1).

Thomas More 67, Thiel 55

GREENVILLE, PA.

Thomas More used a second-half scoring run to beat Thiel in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference game. Ross Renken and D’Carlo Hayes each scored 10 points for the Saints (11-3, 4-1) . The Tomcats (6-6, 3-3) got 11 points from Chace McKinney and 10 from Kamran McCaskill.
