The Youngstown State Penguin Club will honor the Mincey and Schmutz families at the Scholarship Ring Dinner on Feb. 19 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
Members of YSU’s 2012 Horizon League champion women’s outdoor track and field team will be honored as well at the event.

Taxman aims at soccer player transfers
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina
Argentina’s tax chief is imposing new rules aimed at reducing tax evasion in soccer, the sacred national pastime.
Ricardo Echegaray is making soccer clubs responsible for putting all the profits from player transfers in special bank accounts. Player contracts must be reported along with these profits, and the investors and agents involved must be registered as representing the player. If the numbers don’t match, the tax agency will block those responsible from Argentina’s financial system.
Police issue Romo summons at airport

San Francisco Giants pitcher Sergio Romo is facing a misdemeanor summons in Las Vegas alleging he violated airport rules after being detained by authorities at McCarran International Airport on New Year’s Day.
The federal Transportation Security Administration issued a statement Thursday saying Romo failed to provide proper identification at a document checkpoint and engaged in a dispute with TSA officers about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Las Vegas police issued the 29-year-old Romo a summons to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court.
Wrestling meet named for shooting victim
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.
The Kiki Cup, an international Greco-Roman wrestling dual meet, is being renamed the Jack Pinto Cup in memory of the 6-year-old wrestler who was killed in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
USA Wrestling and Christina “Kiki” Kelley, the sponsor of the annual competition, made the announcement Thursday.
Pinto was a first-year member of both the Newton Youth Wrestling Association and USA Wrestling.
