Mahoning Valley Hope Center, Warren, certified to help the needy

WARREN — The Mahoning Valley Hope Center, 3217 Surrey Road, is now certified through the Ohio Benefits Bank, a program of the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Food Banks.

The OBB is a public-private partnership between OASHFB, faith-based and community organizations, and state and federal agencies.

The center is certified to assist the public in finding and applying for eligible benefits on site, including food assistance, health coverage, prescription assistance, home energy assistance, child-care assistance, federal student aid, benefits for elderly or disabled, vocational rehab, voter registration, and veterans education benefits.
