Rust Belt theater unveils season lineup

Rust Belt Theater Company’s 2013 season is under way, with “Dating Sucks: The Musical,” which is about to enter its second and final weekend. The season features all locally written or adapted plays and musicals.

Rust Belt is located in Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave. Call 330-507-2358 for reservations. Here is the schedule:

“Dating Sucks: The Musical!,” by Robert Dennick Joki, Friday and Saturday.

Music, Food and Repurposed Artwork, noon to 7 p.m. March 23 and noon to 5 p.m. March 24.

“Family Reunion,” by Brian Lee, April 5-6, 12-13.

“Conversations,” by Roger Jones, April 19-20, 26-27.

“The Illusion” (based on “L’Illusion Comique” by Pierre Corneille), adapted by Joki, May 10-11, 17-18.

“Boy in a Kage,” featuring Kage Coven, June 7-8, 14-15.

“POE: A Musical (based on the work of Edgar Allen Poe), music by Joki and Josh Taylor, Sept. 6-7, 13-14, 20-21.

“Fundraising Is a Drag Pageant: Youngstown’s Next Top Drag Queen”: Sept. 27, 28.

“When I Knew and How It Saved Me,” by various artists, Oct. 11-12.

“Living Dead: The Musical,” by Joki and Taylor, Oct. 25-26 and Nov. 1-2.

“Silencio,” music based on the work of David Lynch, Nov. 23.

“How the Drag Queen Stole Christmas,” by Joki and Taylor, Dec. 6-7, 13-14.

“The Ugly Christmas Sweater Revue,” by various artists, Dec. 20-22.
