Campbell board of education narrows superintendent candidates

The board of education has narrowed its search for the district’s next superintendent.

The board reduced 10 candidates to three during a special meeting Tuesday .

The three candidates are: Matthew L. Bowen, Damascus Elementary School principal, Timothy S. Filipovich, Mahoning County Educational Services Center instructional consultant, and Gregory E. Pollock, director of business affairs at Aurora city schools.

Thomas D. Robey, Campbell’s current superintendent, is scheduled to retire at the end of the school year. Nora J. Montanez, school district treasurer, said the board is hoping to announce the new superintendent during a March 19 school board meeting.
