A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Feb. 18

Drug abuse: L.C. Deshawn Harvey, 40, of 690 Woodbine St., Warren, was arrested on a charge of drug abuse marijuana.

Vandalism: Beverly Revak, 53, of 217 Callahan Road, was cited for dogs running at large after siding was damaged at a home in the 60 block of Winona Drive.

Feb. 24

Drug abuse: Brandon Darnell Bass, 26, of 4617 Deer Creek Court, No. 4, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of violation of a protection order, mishandling a firearm/failure to disclose, drug abuse of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Feb.18

Theft: Dealer plates were stolen at ABC Motor Credit, 4508 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Jewelry and other items were stolen from a home in the 500 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Warrant: Tracy Smelley, 25, of 242 Reed St., Campbell, was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence and criminal damaging.

Burglary: No items were stolen in a break-in at a home in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Warrant: Lori Jackson, 37, of 765 Allison Ave., Warren, was arrested on a warrant for noncompliance of fines and costs.

Assault: A woman was struck at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Feb. 19

Warrant: Jorell Gibbs, 31, 621 Purdue Ave., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Theft: Money was taken by an employee at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Telecommunications harassment: A text was received from an ex-husband in the 3000 block of Johnson Farm.

Theft: An iPhone 4 was stolen from Dr. Michael Haggerty’s office, 5533 Mahoning Ave.

Personal injury: A female was the victim of a dog-bite at a home in the 30 block of N. Yorkshire Blvd.

Feb. 20

Disorderly conduct: Robert Stevenson, 41, of 5963 Callaway Circle, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Feb. 21

Telecommunications harassment: Telephone harassment was reported at a home in the 900 block of Compass West.

Telecommunications harassment: Telephone harassment was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Robert Frost Drive.

Fraud: A woman was cheated out of $2,050 at a home in the 100 block of Howard Avenue.

Theft: A handgun (.357 Magnum revolver) was taken from a vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Assault: Juveniles were involved in an assault at a home in the 2000 block of North Redgate Avenue.

Feb.22

Unauthorized use: A vehicle was taken and returned at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.

Theft: A male suspect stole items at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Warrant: Lanisha Holbert, 35, of 7443 North Lima Road, Poland, was arrested on a warrant for promoting prostitution, and Chavon Conley, 26, of 1108 S. Tamriand Ave., Compton, Calif., was arrested on a warrant for criminal trespassing.

Recovered property: A firearm was recovered at Perkins, 5555 Interstate Blvd.

Aggravated menacing: A threat was received by an ex-girlfriend at a home in the 4000 block of West Webb Road.

Weapons offense: Mark Klacik, 43, of 6940 Winter Park Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

Auto theft: A 2003 Pontiac was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Feb. 23

Disorderly conduct: Derrick Carter, 26, of 2131 Ohio Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a summons for disorderly conduct.

Burglary: A change jar and jewelry were missing from a home in the 500 block of Ohltown Road. There was no forced entry.

Theft: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 20 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Aggravated robbery: A male suspect with a silver handgun attempted to rob Meridian Drive-Thru, 888 N. Meridian Road. The suspect went away with nothing.

Warrant: George Mitchell Jr., 62, of 4821 Westchester Drive, No. 315, was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged at a home in the 100 block of Fitch Boulevard.

Theft: A suspect accused of theft of jewelry at a home on North Four Mile Run Road also was accused of theft at the Budapest Inn, 3780 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A suspect was accused of theft at Ball Busters, 361 Mahoning Ave.

Feb. 24

Assault: An assault was reported in the 4800 block of Mahoning Avenue There is a suspect.

Telecommunications harassment: Victims reported receiving unwanted text messages at a home in the 4000 block of East Webb Road.
