Phantoms’ goal makes ESPN’s Top 10

Youngstown Phantoms right wing Sam Anas’ shootout goal Sunday is featured on today’s “SportsCenter’” Top 10 plays, coming in at No. 8.

In a shootout win against the Muskegon Lumberjacks, the 19-year-old from Potomac, Md., drops the puck between his legs before a backhand-to-forehand deke, beating Muskegon Lumberjacks goaltender Jordan Uhelski.

The Quinnipiac commit has scored in each of his four shootout attempts this season.

It is the second time in 10 months that a Phantoms’ USHL highlight has been featured on ESPN’s Top 10. Last April, Austin Cangelosi’s “Chip Shot” goal on April 16 against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders was selected third.
