Champion S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 445 Mahoning Ave., Champion, has planned the following: Monday, breakfast and speaker, Keri Hodge from Trumbull County Senior Court, at 10:30 a.m.; Tuesday, lunch at 11:15 a.m. for $3 and exercise and arthritic classes with instructor ($2) at noon; Wednesday, cards at 9:30 a.m. and bingo (25 cents per card) and games at 12:30 p.m.; Thursday, lunch ($3) at 11:15 a.m. and exercise and arthritic class with instructor ($2) at noon; Friday, tai chi at 10 a.m., lunch ($5) at 11:15 and crafts and painting at noon.

Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., has planned the following: Monday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and knitting and crocheting at 10; Tuesday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m., AARP tax help from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., yoga ($3 for members, $5 for nonmembers) at 10:15 and nutrition/healthy living at 10:30; Wednesday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m., health screenings at 10 and yoga from 3 to 4 p.m.; Thursday, exercise with Jude at 9:30 a.m., AARP tax help from 9:30 to 1:30 p.m. and yoga from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.; and Friday, morning stretch class at 9:30 a.m. and tai chi at noon. Monday-Friday: coffee bar from 8:30 to 11 a.m., fitness rooms and computer cafe from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and adult basketball and cornhole from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wii gaming system, air hockey and pingpong also are available. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of the Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a phone call, a visit in a nursing home or a visit at home. They also plan special events such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. Market St., invites all Trumbull County seniors to a breakfast Tuesday featuring Trumbull County Coroner Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, who will provide a slide show presentation on the coroner’s office.
