Holy Rosary Church was the setting of the Sept. 23, 2012, afternoon wedding of Ishevetta Sawyer and Anthony T. Campanale III, both of Washington D.C. The Rev. Lydio Tomasi officiated, and a reception followed at Martin’s Camelot, Upper Marlboro, Md.

Parents of the couple are Victor Sawyer Sr. and Shirley Sawyer, both of Miami, Fla., and Agnes Campanale of Youngstown and Anthony T. Campanale Jr. of Lisbon.

The bride wore a white halter A-line gown with a cumberbund waist with a half-bow at the back. It was completed with a short train with lace overlay embellished with pearls and crystal rhinestones.

Sister of the bride, Angela Jones, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Campanale and Stephanie Berger, sisters of the groom; Antoinette Lockett; and Taunya Johnson. Aleah Sawyer, the bride’s niece, was flower girl. The attendants wore purple gowns.

Reginald Allen performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Donald Kotuby Jr., the groom’s cousin; Demetrius Sawyer, the bride’s brother; Uthman Lockett; and Marcus Smith. Adrian Richards, the bride’s nephew, was ring bearer.

Ushers were Reid Bennett, Sultan Shakir and Jacob Thomas.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree from Barry University and a master’s degree from Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She works for the vice unit of Metropolitan Police Department in D.C.

The groom attended Kent State University and the University of Akron and also works for the vice unit of Metropolitan Police Department.
