Foundation seeks law-school applications

The Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation is accepting applications for scholarships to attend law school.

The foundation is the charitable arm of the county bar association and has awarded scholarships to law students for about 25 years.

The foundation has several scholarships to be awarded. In addition to general scholarships awarded by the foundation, there also are scholarships in memory of Attys. Irwin I. Kretzer, Harlan Small and Robert J. Boyd and in honor of Atty. Daniel J. Rossi.

Scholarship applications are available by calling the bar association at 330-746-2933, or by email to mcarroll@mahoningbar.org. Applications also are available by contacting Paul A. Sracic in the political science department at Youngstown State University at 330-941-3436.

Applications must be received by the foundation by May 22. Recipients will be recognized at the annual election banquet June 24.
