16-year-old Pa. girl arrested for online threat
CARBONDALE, Pa. (AP) ā A cyberschool student in northeastern Pennsylvania has been charged in juvenile court for an online comment in which she threatened to kill a school resource officer.
The 16-year-old student, who lives in the Carbondale School District, was arrested Friday after she wrote on Facebook, quote, āIām going to kill her dead with her own gun.ā
The Times-Tribune in Scranton reports the girl was charged with harassment and terroristic threats.
Officer Rebecca Clark says the girl made the threat after someone called her pretending to be Clark.
Clark says students need to be careful about what they post on the Internet.
