Cedars Lounge not open this weekend

YOUNGSTOWN

Cedars Lounge will not open this weekend at its new location at 702 Steel St., on the West Side, as originally planned. The rock ’n’ roll bar was slated to make its grand opening today but has had to push it back to March 1, said owner Billy Danielson. Cedars vacated its prior location on North Phelps Street, downtown, in January.

Roxfest is seeking bands, vendors

Roxfest music festival, which will be Aug. 23-25 at Buffalo Hollow amphitheater in Petersburg, is accepting letters of interest from bands. Send an email to bandsubmissions@roxfest.com with the following information: name of band, genre, home city, expected draw, a link to music, and a photo. Deadline is March 5.
