Nanoskys observe 50th anniversary with open house


Michael and Maryann Nanosky of Austintown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends during an open house at their home.

The former Maryann Schanz and Mr. Nanosky were married Oct. 13, 1962, at St. Edward Church in Youngstown. The couple attended an anniversary Mass on June 24 at St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown, where they renewed their wedding vows.

The open house was hosted by their children, Michele Savin of Austintown, Michael and Kristina Nanosky of Medina, Ohio, and Monica and Tim Hughes of Frederick, Md.

Co-hosting were the couple’s grandchildren, Brian and Meaghan Savin of New York City and Michael, Nicholas and Jacob Nanosky of Medina.

Mr. Nanosky worked for Commercial Intertech, Youngstown, for 44 years and retired as a supervisor in 2003.

Mrs. Nanosky retired in 2004 as a branch supervisor for First Place Bank, Youngstown, where she worked for 26 years.

They are members of St. Joseph Church.

The couple are planning a motor trip to the Outer Banks, N.C., then Myrtle beach S.C. They also plan to visit friends in Hilton Head, S.C., Savannah, Ga., and Florida before returning home.
