ISABELLA, Pa. (AP) — A 2-year-old boy has been shot in the face at a gathering at a western Pennsylvania home and was flown to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

Troopers from the Belle Vernon state police barracks say the boy, Owen Harris, was shot shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Police have not said whether anyone was involved in or being charged with the shooting, or whether the boy somehow shot himself.

The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

The shooting occurred in Luzerne Township, Fayette County, about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.
