League invites public to information meeting

YOUNGSTOWN

The public is invited to the next League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Gathering Room at Park Vista, Wick Avenue.

The topic will be “Privatization of Public Facilities” led by Michelle McBride-Simonelli, league vice president, to explore and evaluate policies and proposals regarding the transfer of federal, state and local powers to the private sector, including stated goals, accountability, transparency and community impact. A discussion will follow.

The league is accepting new members; membership is open to men and women.
