Fishing competition

YOUNGSTOWN

The 14th Annual Muransky Companies Bass Classic, hosted by Aqua Ohio and benefiting the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, is June 1 at Evans and Pine lakes.

The competition pits top pro bass anglers paired with amateur anglers who make a $300 donation to the United Way. For many of the amateurs, it’s their best opportunity to fish from a fully-tournament-rigged bass boat operated by an experienced angler who shares the ins-and-outs of bass fishing. Prizes will be awarded for total weight and big bass after the tournament weigh-in.

Amateur participants can be sponsored by their company, and prize donations are being accepted. For information, contact Tara Mady at United Way at 330-746-8494 or visit www.ymvunitedway.org to download an entry form.
