Starrs celebrate 65th anniversary

COLUMBIANA

Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Starr of Columbiana celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Feb. 7.

The former Irene Faddock and Mr. Starr were married Feb. 7, 1948, at Holy Trinity Church in Youngstown.

The couple are members of St. Jude Church, life members of Veterans of Foreign Wars and former members of St. George Church.

Mrs. Starr is a homemaker.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Starr served in Hawaii in World War II and in the Korean conflict. He was a draftsman-engineer prior to retiring.

The couple have five children, Michalene (Len) Weiszer of Poland; Veronica Cochran of South Carolina; Stephanie (Ron) Crumbacher of Dayton; Pamela (Brian) Roberts of Columbiana; and Michael Starr of East Liverpool.

The family is completed with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
